water because although milk adds some macros it still has casein which is slow digesting and after a workout you need to replenish as quickly as you possibly can. |

I prefer a milk-like product, but I use a rice milk. Cows milk sometimes upsets my digestive process. Using a milk makes the drink taste a lot better than with water and only adds a few calories and calories are not necesarily the enemy here. |

What i would recommend is drink a true recovery drink. Something that has a 4:1 carbs to protein ratio to assist in the recovery and prevent soreness. there are alot out there one the best is from Beachbody for the P90X program, one of the cheapest is chocolate milk. The point of a recovery drink is to immediately replace the nutriants consumed during the workout and combat soreness. hope this helps. DD Turnfitnessintoprofit.com |

Water adds no extra carbs/fat/calories/sugar..ext. Milk does up the calories/fat/carbs/suager ext, but adds caesin for a slower digestion. I would use water because you want to absorb protien as fast and as soon as possible, and milks caesin base slows breakdown. |
